How to stop IE from showing movies in the sidebar?!

All of the sudden, IE has started opening a panel on the left of the window,
like when you look at your history, to show videos. What causes this? Is
it a setting? Or something inherent in the video that tell it to open that
way? For now I have to right-click thte link and click "open link in a new
window" to get around this. Help!
