this is getting annoying when Vista asks me for permission to delete or it
wont delete until a reboot.
Is there a way I can have it work like XP Pro did? Vista is trying to
protect my computer but is annoying the help out of me.

"annoying the help out of me"

humm, that's a first one for me i'll have to write it down.

have you tried to disable the uac or the auc oh shoot how you spell the darn
thing the account protector, it's easy it's located in user account in
contol panel then select uac or whatever and select it so it doesn't protect
your pc anymore.

Right click the recycle bin icon on the desktop and select properties.
Uncheck the "Display Delete Confirmation Dialog" box.
If a file is in use it cannot be deleted until you reboot. No getting around
that one.
