How to stay on same field when moving to next record

Hi.

This is a curious one. My Users say that this used to work but now does not
and I can't see why.

I have a form with a subform. Previously, the users could edit a certain
field in the subform and when they moved to the next main form record, the
focus stayed on that same field in the subform record. Now, however, the
focus jumps to the first field in the Tab order in the subform record.

Perhaps I have set something up to make the focus stay on the same field in
the subform but, if so, I've forgotten how I did it. I make design changes to
the mdb fairly often

Any ideas?

Thanks, JohnB

This can be done by setting the focus to the control in the subform in the
Current event of the main form.

Thank You.

But would this not set the focus to be always the same field in the subform?
I want users to be able to edit any one of three fields in one subform record
and when they jump to the next record, find the focus stays on that field.
ASd IU say, this seemed to work like this before and I can't remember telling
Access to do it - it just happened.

Thanks again, JohnB
