Like as you can not open other connection with the same telephone
line, you can not send fax with the same line that is "busy".

The line is not "busy". I want to start sending a fax to the person with
whom I have the telephone conversation.

Of course the line is busy.
Hang up.
Send the fax.
Fax software must have exclusive access to an analog phone line.

A person Starts receiving on the receiving fax. VentaFax program allows to
start sending a fax during a telephone conversation but it's not free.

I have to persuade the person to start receiving first.

If you are using a fax card in your computer to send the fax, usually what
you want to do requires two separate phone calls. First: call the person
that is to receive the fax and tell them you are going to send it. Hang up.
Send the fax. Allow time for the fax to be sent and the fax hardware to hang
the line up. Now, you can call the person again, if you want, to find out if
they received the fax.

If you are using a fax service to which you connect over the Internet using
cable or ADSL service, this does not apply.

Hello
How to start sending a fax during the telephone conversation?

I looked at the VentaFax website, and nowhere does it say that you can
transmit a fax down the line that you are talking on.. try calling up a fax
machine and decide for yourself whether you could carry on a conversation
during a fax transmission.. and quit taking the medication.. it is playing
tricks with your mind..

Hello
How to start sending a fax during the telephone conversation?

You can do this by connecting a phone to the "Phone" jack on the modem (so
you have manual voice access to the telephone line) and setting your modem
to NOT wait for a dial tone. You call the manual, operator controlled fax
machine number with the telephone. You have your fax ready to send with a 1
or 2 digit FALSE phone number. You then tell the Fax Machine operator to
press his "Start" button as soon as he hears your short, false phone number
finish dialing. Your modem should "blind dial" the false number, the two
modems should begin their negotiation sequence, and finish the transmission.

This method is very similar to what you'd do with two Fax Machines; the
sending end would call the receiving end with the handset attached to his
Fax Machine, the receiving operator would answer on his handset, and both
ends press their "Start" buttons.

Thanks. I knew this way, but MS fax runs in the background all the time for
me to be able to manually receive faxes. VentaFax does not run all the time,
but it's not free.

I would not talk with the person, who is receiving the fax, during the fax
transmission. MS fax doesn't allow to persuade the person to start receiving
first.

Hello
How to start sending a fax during the telephone conversation?

Your suggested way requires 3 times more calls. Many people would not like
to receive a fax from unknown source (if fax calls by itself), they would
not be sufficiently sure that the fax is from me.

Hello
How to start sending a fax during the telephone conversation?

How does this prevent the solution? Assuming you made the telephone call,
then do the Send Fax. This will dial the FALSE number and if you follow what
Hal said below, it should work. This only means thaty you cannot queue the
Fax before hand.

Thanks for your reply.
I would not be able to dial up to ISP, if I set my modem to NOT wait for a
dial tone. MS fax consumes system resources running in the background
comparing to VentaFax or other fax programs.

That is correct that you will not be able to do both.

MS Fax has been modelled as a NT Service. It has been optimised to stop when
all the following conditions are met
Ø There is no valid device set for manual answering.

Ø There are no active RPC connections.

Ø There are no devices set to receive.

Ø There are no jobs in the job queue.
