Hi,

I shoot with 1 GB SD cards, with a 7 MP camera, so I get about 320
images per card. When I burn a CD-R, it can only hold about 190-200
images. I therefore have to take about 120 images from a file in My
Pictures, and transfer them to a new file. How do I do that easily? The
only way I can do it now, is to drag the desired images one at a time,
to my laptop's screen, make a new file, then drag each image one at a
time into the new file. It's clumsy and time-consuming.

Is there any software program that will allow me to transfer images from
JPEG 201 through JPEG 320, for example, in one fell swoop?

Thanks a lot.

Just multiple select...

Press and hold your shift key.

Click the first image and the last image...
now all will be (highlighted) selected.

With the images selected...
Click..."Move the selected items"
(this is in your Picture Tasks pane
under File and Folder Tasks)

When the Move Items screen opens...
browse to the correct folder and click
Move.

Also...if you drag/drop the selected
group with the right mouse button...you
will have to option to copy or move
selected items.

If you use either Nero or Easy CD Creator, you can easily accomplish this
task. If, for instance, you instruct either of them to save more files than
can be placed on a single CD or DVD, then they will create as many disks as
are needed.

You are correct, but beware that if the time
comes that you need to access the files and
you do not have the program that created the
disk set you may be out of luck.

Hi John and Jim,

Thanks very much for your helpful replies. I'll certainly try John's
method first, using my current software. However, I'm grateful to both
of you.
