Since I added BCM, everything in Outlook and hyperlinks from emails are very
slow. I looked at Task Manager and see that "SQLSERVER" under the
"Processes" tab is the culprit. any suggestions to increase speed? What is
SQLSERVER and is it necessary?

BCM uses a "lite" version of the Microsoft SQL Server database engine to
store its data. What are the RAM and processor speed on your machine?

BCM is a dog on my machine too but I have been puttin up with it. I have 1
Gig of RAM on a 2GHZ Celeron. I use another program (industry specific) with
SQL Server (MSDE) and it runs super fast so it isn't SQL Server.

Hello,

I am having the same issue. I have 1 Gb of memory on a 2+ Ghz Compaq machine. The performance is hit and miss.
I really notice the issue when I drag and drop emails into folders. Sometimes the transfer is immediate and sometimes it can take up to 8 minutes (yes minutes not seconds) to move as few as two emails to a folder.

Any suggestions? Is there a way to move BCM to regular SQLServer (i.e., the non Lite version)?

Thank You,

Lou
