How to sort on photo properties

After uploading pictures from my camera into My Pictures Directory (jpegs),
and then right clicking on them, I noticed a Properties Tab and further in, a
Summary Tab. Exploring that further, I noticed there were places to record
Title, Subject, Author, Keywords and Author. So, I tried putting in the
information on two of the pictures, but then couldn't figure out how I might
be able to sort on that information in the future. If I went to all that
trouble to name, categorize, put in keywords, etc. how would I be able to
access that information in the future. I tried the search icon and entered my
key word (waterfall), but it said it couldn't find any matches. Any one know?

Try opening the folder and going
to...Search button / Pictures /
Pictures / >enter the keyword< /
Search button or press Enter...
