It's about VPN client on Win2k. It keeps disconnecting after few minutes,
I've installed every single windows update available [to the public].
Speaking about public, KB 843357 confirms that it IS microsoft's fault to
have a flaw in their operating system but they don't support OEM OS, I got my
win2k w/ my toshiba laptop, and I have called toshiba but they said that only
microsoft can provide the hotfix.
This is getting too much frustrating, so if anybody - anybody at all - can
even response, I'd really appreciate it.

Call MS back. Tell them what Toshiba said. Don't take "no" for an answer.

You have to ask the right questions. You don't ask them "Will you support my
OEM OS?",....you ask them "I think I may have the issue described in
KB843357, will the patch fix it? Can I have the patch?".

Thanks for the response, Phil. I had not yet tried to call MS since they'll
bill me 99 wing-wangs for contacting their tech. I don't believe that I owe
them even a dime since it's their responsibility to provide fix for any
problem they have caused on their product. But, I'll try to get in touch w/
them to see if I can go through. If you have any other advice in this
particular issue, please let me know. I'll greatly appreciate it.

I think it is $245.00,...but they don't charge at all for issues related to
patches, hotfixes, or service packs. Sort of like "if they broke it, it's on
thier dime",...if "you broke it, it's on your dime". They are fair people if
you give'm a chance.
