How to Show My PC and My Documents Folder

Good morning everyone.

I'm running a windows 2003 server with new 45 thin clients t5720. These thin
clients are part of my domain controller. I need these computers to show My
Pc and My Documents folders (redirected to user's profile) on their desktop.

Can anyone help and explain how to achieve this? And very new in this
matter.

Rafael,

You best bet would be HP since it is them who created the clients and they know what's included and what not.

I can only guess here and my rough guess would be that Show Desktop Icons feature is turned off on the image running on those
clients. That is a Group policy option and you can control it on the client locally (or on the server if the domain group policies
used) by setting the following registry entry:
[HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer],"NoDesktop"=dword:0

Thanks a lot for the answer.

I've tried that one as well but it didn't work. Nevertheless, I managed to
bypass that problem by login in a regular PC then back to the thin client
and now I have what I need. It does not mean I like it but right now I just
need it to work.
