How to show FULL pathname of Word document?

The very top bar on my screen (the one that has the minimize/maximize buttons on it) shows the file name of the document I'm working on. Or if I haven't saved the document yet, it will say "Document1" or something similar.

But if I've already saved my document, it will only show a partial file name. I want to show the file name AND its folders' names. If my document's pathname is "My Documents/Clients/Smith/correspondence/today, I want the bar to show its name ("today") and its folders (clients/smith/correspondence).

I've tried everything I can think of, with no luck. Thanks for any suggestions.

Mi Mar,

Another approach would be to put a filename field in the document's header
or footer. To do this, select View header and footer then, in whichever you
want the name & path to appear, press Ctrl-F9, then type filename \p between
the braces, then press F9 to update the field. This has the effect of adding
the file's name & path to the document itself, so it shows on the printed
version as well.

Cheers
