How to share network resources between windows 3.x and windows XP

Hi! All

I have facing one network problem. I have one system still using windows 3.x and have shared some network resources on that PC and now these network resources want to access by other PC through from network. It work fine in case of other PC system is Windows 9x. However if other PC with system Windows 2K and Windows XP, can not find the windows 3.x PC name on network places. So I would like to know any method to let PC with windows 3.x communicates with Windows 2k or XP

A key to Windows networking is to use the same, single network
protocol for File and Printer Sharing on all computers. By default,
XP uses TCP/IP. If your existing network uses a different protocol
(IPX/SPX or NetBEUI), you'll need to install that protocol on XP and
un-bind sharing from TCP/IP. This article has details:

3.x is not definitive. IIRC, 3.11 was the "Windows for Networking" release,
and 3.1 did not contain networking capabilities. There was an update
package to convert 3.1 to 3.11, if you only have 3.1; good luck finding one.
