Hello,

we have a mailbox used by 5 persons.
I manage the access using permissions tab.

I created a search folder for the emails of the last 30 days.
How can I share this folder? There is not permissions tab in properties.

Thanks a lot.

You can't since it's not 'real'. It has to be created on each person's
machine

What does it mean it is not real?

Every person use this mailbox as an additional mailbox over their exchange
mailbox.
You can see the inbox and archive folder.

How can I enable the "Search Folders"-folder for every user?

Thanks.

A search folder is a virtual thing not a real folder. I'll see if there's a
way to show them to every user

PMFJI, but if each user sets up a profile that logs directly into that
shared mailbox and logs in there at least once the search folders should
then work for that mailbox when it's added to the normal Outlook profile as
a shared mailbox.

Hello,

we dont want to work with profiles, because each person has is own mailbox.
This mailbox wants the person see at the same time using the other mailbox.
But the problem is more complicated, because we have not only one mailbox, we
have currently 10 additional mailboxes, which has to be checked by a specific
person.

So we can only use one profile.

I didn't say to use multiple profiles, but if you set up an alternate
profile that logs into a shared mailbox that will init the search folders
and then you can go back to using your normal profile, even deleting the
added one.

For example, my mailbox is Ken Slovak. I also monitor sales, support and
webmaster mailboxes. I open them as added mailboxes to my Ken Slovak profile
so all 4 mailboxes are open in my profile. I set up alternate support, sales
and webmaster profiles and logged into each profile once. I then went back
to my normal profile and all the search folders for sales, support and
webmaster are now working in my Ken Slovak profile.

I believe that's exactly what you were asking for.

Your example is exaclty what I mean.

I created a new profile for the shared mailbox. Here I can see all folders,
including the search folders. I closed Outlook and restarted it opening my
profile.
I can see the additional mailbox (Inbox and Archive folder), but not the
search folders.

If I use my search folder, I can only create custome search folders for my
mailbox.
What is my mistake?

You probably aren't adding the extra mailboxes to your profile, you most
likely are using the File menu to add folders from a shared mailbox.

Select Tools, E-mail Accounts in Outlook. Select to view or change existing
email accounts and click Next. Then select your Exchange account and click
the Change button. Click on More Settings and go to the Advanced tab. Click
the Add button in the Mailboxes section. Type in the name of the added
mailbox and if prompted enter the logon information for that mailbox. OK
your way out of the dialog and finish the wizard. Exit and restart Outlook.

At that point you should have the entire shared mailbox open in your profile
and you should have working search folders in that mailbox.

Thats exactly what I have done adding a mailbox.

I think it belongs to permissions. Do I have to configurate some delegates
of the mailbox I want to share?

I used the permission tab on properties to share the Inbox and Archive folder.

There is no prompted logon dialog. Can this be the problem?

I can use Advanced Find in the shared mailbox, but here I can only select
one folder. This isnt really helpful.

Thank you for your help.

You might have to experiment with permissions, adding them for the mailbox
root. My experiences with this are with alternate mailboxes where I have
Owner permissions.
