A
agregory
This is not strictly a true share but it does allow workable access to
multiple mapped network drives on another PC / Laptop whilst providing
a secure password protected connection.
The company I have been contracting to uses remote desktop software
called Proxy Host and Proxy Master from Funk Software, to be honest
there is not much better about and have seriously gone off of RDP on
XP Desktop for remote support. The user doesn't get logged off and can
see you working your support 'magic'.
Can confirm that connecting to a 'home serving' laptop, which uses
Checkpoint Secureclient to VPN to a corporate network, I can access /
copy / delete / modfiy etc. mapped drives to a Novell share, a Snap
Server share and a Windows Share. The beauty being that you can use
the remote desktop to create any connections you need without actually
being at the keyboard...
Better still the laptop providing the connection to my work network is
connecting across a wireless link to the laptop I am working on and
using ICS to the internet, through said laptop that i am typing this
out on.... Don't ask, is giving me a headache trying to work it out
Checkpoint Secureclient doesn't block this linkas it would with normal
ICS or local 'home' sharing'. Not sure if this is because it needs to
go through the laptop I am using to gain access to t'internet and,
ultimately, the corporate network that i am connecting to....
