Hi,
After I setup my laptop Linux WiFi, I found the Vista desktop network
functions incorrect. I used the ISP software to automatic setup the
network connection at Vista. Then, I found the Vista thoroughly cannot
connect network anymore, even I cannot ping it or ping others at
Vista.
My another XP still works now. The problem is the DSL modem is a
little bizzarre to me. Sometimes it does not recognize my child's
iPOD(WiFi). I don't know the reason. Even after I reset it by its
software, it does not change some computer's IP. I suppose it will
change IP quickly because it is dynamic. The present IP duration is 72
hours, but I cannot change it when I tried to do that.

At present, I think the Vista network settings are incorrect. It seems
to me it is more complicate than WiFi because there are so many
protocols and switches. My network router IP now is 192.168.2.1. Could
you tell me where I can do step by step? Thanks.
