To set shared protect for everyone on the network drive
for a particular directory is right click to directory and
go to PROPERTIES, then Sharing then shared this folder,
then set it up. This is only for the subdirectory but the
subdirectories and files under this directoy still not set
for shared yet. Does some one know how to set once and
everythings(files and subdirectories) under it
automatically set too?

They should inherhit the settings from the parent.
but they will not show the little shared icon (the little hand).
Do you know that they are not shared? Meaning, can you access them from the
network?

No, it's not automatically inherit! I tried it many times
and I end up has to do it one by one (painful). I even
reflesh the folder, access from other computer, etc. Does
anyone one how to set it up so that is is automatically
inherit?

I found article
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;823405
That notes a similar error, but SP4 has been on this machine for months
without any problems with RRAS. I've tried deleting and recreating the
log file as well. I this likely a patch bug?

Thanks,
-Andy

Thanks!
I don't understand why those aren't listed as dependencies and why they
weren't needed before the patch. Both were disable before and RRAS
worked fine. I couldn't find and article on that error, guess I didn't
look hard enough.
Thanks again,
-Andy

Hi Andy (or Robert),

I can hardly imagine that they were disabled before. But whatever, if you've
got it working now, that is the main thing.
