I am adding a third Win2ks SP4 DC/DNS server to our
environment. I found an article on install the DNS server
but am not really clear on all the other DNS settings.
How should "allow zone transfer" be setup or what is the
best practice? Thanks for your help.

If all are DCs in the same domain and the zones are AD integrated zone
transfers are not needed and can be disabled. The zones will be replicated
through AD replication.

If the zones are AD integrated and the new DC is in the same domain, the zone will transfer over with AD replication. If this new DC is in a new domain, you'll
need to enable zone transfers on the DCs in the parent. To do this, open the properties of the zone in question. Go to the zone transfers tab and enable zone
transfers.

Thank you,
