Hi!

I found "HOW TO: Set Up an FTP Server in Windows 2000",
but I'm using XP. Is there a "HOW TO: Set Up an FTP
Server in Windows XP"....

I can't seem to find any information on this subject...

Please help!

Are you using Windows XP Professional? If you are:

Open XP's "Help and Support" and type: IIS , and hit enter.
Click on "IIS Installation".

One of the benefits of IIS 5.1 is that it's capable of acting as a FTP server.

Hi, Joachim -

Installing Internet Information Services is pretty easy
in XP Professional - go to Add/Remove Programs, then to
Add/Remove Windows Components and you'll see IIS in
there. All you have to do is install it.

But - IIS doesn't come with (and can't be installed on)
XP Home. If you're using XP Home you'll need a third-
party FTP server since you can't install IIS.
