this is definitly a noobie question but oh well. My comp
started acting up last week and I was using XP Pro as my
OS. It was really easy to set up a network between my
families computers with the networking wizard that XP came
with. Now I reformated my HDD and put 2000 Pro on instead
and now I have no idea how to set up a network for our
house. Someone please help me.

By "network" do you mean have Internet Connection Sharing?

This might help: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307311

Your new Windows 2000 installation would be the ICS Host. All the other
clients would be configured essentiually the same as "How to COnfigure the
Windows 2000 Client" - although, if you have not changed anything on your
clients, you should be set to go.

Long and short: Figure out which network card is connected to the internet
(as opposed to the other computers on your home network) and follow the
steps for configuring the ICS host computer.
