Hi, there:
Following is the network:

Internet ->Cable->Cable Modem->[Win2000 Sever + firewall] -> Hub ->win2000
PC and Win 98 PC

My question is
To enable the two PCs(win98 and win2k) access internet, what are the
neccessary applications should be allowed to access internet by firewall?
LSASS.exe? ntoskrnl.exe? or others? If these applications are allowed by
firewall, will they cause security problem?

Thanks!
CM

The firewall is sygate, it can block any application, port or other.

You only need to allow the related application such as Internet Explorer and Outlook
Express other than udp port 53 for dns name resolution to untrusted network
addresses. --- Steve
