How to set default FROM: when CREATE new message

Have Windows Vista, using Windows Mail - have two email addresses defined --
when we CREATE a new email Windows Mail is using the wrong email address in
the FROM: field - how do we set the default for the FROM: field?

When creating a new message, WM will use the identity of the
default account. You can change the default account here:
Tools, Accounts, select the account you want, click "Set as Default."

Incidentally, if you upgrade to Windows Live Mail, it sets up
separate folders for each account, and if you are working
within a given account folder, creating a new message will
automatically select that account as the 'From' identity.
