I set up this keyboard last year on my new XP computer, so I
know it can be done. Now I need to do it on another
computer and I can't remember how I did it.

I have instructions on how to select the keyboard for
Win98SE, but XP is a horse of another color. I don't see
anything in the keyboard app in Control Panel that gives me
a clue.

Help please.

Thanks

Never mind. I found it under Regional and Language Options.
It's no longer under keyboard in the Control Panel.

Sorry..

If you want to be able to type foreign characters like ç ñ and ä, let
me make another suggestion which I think is a much better wayto do it.

I use a little freeware background program called AllChars. This lets
me type many common special characters (many of these are used in
other languages) by pressing the ctrl key followed by a two character
mnemonic combination.

For example, for ñ the two characters are ~ and n. For ç it's c and ,
For ü it's u and "

Ken, doesn't confusion arise with the Ctrl key since Windows
also uses that key a lot? Do you press and hold Ctrl, or
press and release it before you type in the two other
characters?

No, because...

Do you press and hold Ctrl, or
press and release it before you type in the two other
characters?

....you press and release it.
