How to select printer resident fonts

I've created a web page with Microsoft Word 97 and in the page I'm selecting
printer resident fonts for some text. When printing from Word the printer
fonts are selected and printed but not from the web page generated from
Word. The fonts seem to be selected in the HTML page but the text is being
printed in graphics. Can you print printer fonts from the browser? I'm the
driver writer and I can tell through debugging that the resident font is not
being selected.

Michael, I've come up against this same problem and have not been able to
find a solution. Since you posted this three months ago or so, have you
managed to find a solution anywhere? Thanks.

He may have concluded the question is off-topic for this newsgroup. ;)

Try a search? (This seems to be a FAQ topic in

microsoft.public.word.printingfonts

)

I agree though that this feature would be really handy,
especially for users of dot-matrix printers who were
only interested in writing drafts in whatever fonts represented
their printers' native fonts.

Thanks.
Paul

Good luck
