How to see page traffic

I have a complex multilayer tabbed page that has nested ajax update panels.
I'm trying to tune it for best performance and I would like to see the bits
that are going in and out of the browser. Is there some software or method
of seeing this?

Firefox with FireBug
FireBug is very powerful tool. one of the best JavaScript debuggers.
Unfortunatelly works only with FireFox....
