Hello!

I wonder if it is possible in Win XP to see the configuration of the
remote computer anyhow?
For example, by the means of cmd and telnet the remote or whatever?

Thanks,
askar

Investigate VNC (http://www.realvnc.com/), I use it to control and
monitor Macintosh machines from my PC.

If the remote computer is running windows xp pro. Try "Remote Desktop".
Otehrwise there is "VNC". This will work if you own the PC.

If you are dealing with a novice user at the other end try to get them
to send you a "Remote Assistance Invitation" (can be done via windows
messenger).

Do a google search on "Remote Desktop", "VNC", "Remote Assistance
Invitation" for more details
