Hello!
How to search for folders (not files, and not just list all folders) which
are about 4GB in size?
Best regards,

Search - scroll down to size - enter 4gig - press enter.

Thanks John the West Ham fan for your reply!
How to search for folders (not files) of a size?
You can scroll down to size in a subfolders list in only one folder. I need
to search for folders in all subfolders.

These two programs generate a graphical view of a drive in which it is
easy to spot large folders. They are not exactly what you asked for,
but may be useful for your purposes.

They both take a long time to generate the display for a large drive
with lots of files. I like one better than the other, but *which* one
varies from day to day...

Meanwhile, I might check out for myself what JockoBailey suggested :-)

Didn't you recently ask this question and get several good responses?

Dear Rock,
The "several good responses" were about spoting large folders, not about
searching for folders of a certain size. Many people need a posibility to
find independent folders of about a DVD-R size to move them to a DVD-R to
free their HDDs.

Thanks JockoBailey for your reply!
It looks like Folder Size Version 1.4 does not search for folders of a DVD-R
size.
It is more effective to move folders of a DVD-R size to a DVD-R than many
smaller folders. It would be easer to remember which folder is where: on
DVD-r or HDD.

Ok, for next time it's best to keep to the same thread to avoid duplication
of effort.

Fair enough. Maybe just include that in your post that it's the second post
on the issue.

Your suggested programs do not search for folders of a certain size
and do not sort all folders by size, but subfolders in one folder only.

As I said, my suggested programs (I had two, but for some reason you
clipped one from your quote) do not search - they "generate a
graphical view of a drive in which it is easy to spot large
folders", to quote exactly what I said.

Thanks for your reply!
I have been using TreeSize Pro for a year already. The TreeSize Pro makes
tht same as your programs. They do not find folders of a DVD size to move
them to a DVD and free HDD. It's difficult to remember which folder is where:
on which DVD or HDD, if you move small folders to a DVD.
