How to scroll up short story with 15-20 lines?

I am making a movie and in the Introduction clip I want to tell a short
story giving a background to this movie. The text in this story should
scroll up slowly enough to enable comfortable reading.

Can this be done with MM2?

I think you should be able to. I believe you'd create a title and then add
a scrolling effect. I was thinking you could use the one for 'credit
scroll, up stacked' but I'm not sure if that would work. You can try and
see what happens. Let us know.

Yes it can.
Go to "Make Titles or Credits"
Select the first clip in your move
Click on "Add Title before the selected clip"
Enter all of your text
Click "Change the Tile animation"
Choose "Scroll, perspective"
Go down to your timeline and click the right side of your new title and drag
it to the right making it bigger (longer). The longer the title the slower
the text will scroll up the screen.
