how to scan scsi bus?

Hello
Does anyone have any idea how scan scsi bus in windows
xp? I'm trying to burn cds with cdrecord(command line
utility) and I need my cdrw drive location to write data
to. I've tried the scanbus option with cdrecord but I get
errors with it. Some i want to know and alternative
method to get my cdrw drive location.
Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

You may need to add an ASPI layer to Windows. Head over to Adaptec and you
should find it there.
