How to Save wmv file from XP platform so 98 users can view

I have not found a way to save a windows movie maker wmv file, so that
Windows 98, or in other words the media player - Classic version, can view
the file. Can anyone assist me, in what options I can use. I do try to save
the file in the large format, for easier viewing.

Its not you but them that have to do something. And that is to install
the WMV9 codecs pack.

If they are on 98SE then they can isntall WMP9

Otherwise they have to have WMP7.1
