How to save the update?

in windows update, how do i save the chosen update in my hard drive for future use? Rather than installing it immediatelly?

Go to Windows Update, in the left frame, select the Personalize option. At
the page that appears, select the "Show link to Windows Update Catalog."
Refresh the page and click OK when it asks if you wish to save changes.
Click the Windows Update Catalog link in the left frame.

Click "Find updates for Microsoft Windows Operating Systems." Select
Windows XP RTM, click search and find the updates specified in the Knowledge
Base Article.
