I'll be doing a fresh install on my daughter's computer shortly.

She has Sims (up to Making Magic) and Sims 2 installed.

I'm trying to figure out how to save Saved Games but so far the files are eluding me.

In The Sims, in the Maxis folder, I think all the odd looking files in main folder may be saved games. Are they?

But in Sims 2, I have no idea. There seem to be saved items (such as houses) in several folders.

Is it possible to save Saved Games in either of these titles.

I would (well, Faye would) really apreciate some help here.

I think they are in the My Documents folde, IIRC?

Yes they are ... also check each users MyDocuments folder as they will be save independently.

Thank you chaps :)

Right there under my nose, doh.....

Only the one user, so that ok.

I assume if I just paste the contents of the Sims 2 folder into a fresh install, all saved games will be in there again?

As for Sims 1, I'm going to assume all the files I mentioned earlier in the Maxis folder are saved games, I can't think what else they could be.

And, Mr Mucks, don't give me none of that  twas a legitimate question ;)

I think it should be ok to paste in afterwards, I've done that before on my sisters and it worked ok from what I remember. :)

Cor ... I would not like to be in your shoes if it don't work ...

Good luck ... :p

Some games cannot save properly on Vista or Wins 7. Try installing the game on the desktop. I had to do this for League of Legends.
