How can I save 3 different slide shows from the same .pptx file?
I.e., is there an Add-in that will allow me to save 3 different versions of
the .pptx file with different slides hidden so that I can have a 20 min, 1
hour, and 2 hour show without having to edit my .pptx file every presentation?

Thanks!!

Richard

There probably are ad ins for this but it would be very easy to either ctrl
click in slide sorter view to multi select and hide slides or to create
different custom shows for each presentation.

John - I know that I could hide several slides at once, however it takes me
an hour to hunt and peck throughout 300 slides each week to change the total
number of slides to be viewed at the next presentation from 48 for a 20 min.
show, then to 134 for a 1-hour, then, back to 300 for a 2 hour presentation.
Specifically, how do I save the SAME .pptx file to 3 different versions of
"hide status".?? or how would I most efficiently find an Add-in that could
do this?

Thanks!!

Richard

We have an addin that makes a NEW presentation from a master presentation and
a simple text file containing the numbers needed. You can have any number of
text files saved. If the master file changes simply produce a new
presentation with the addin (takes seconds) If that might work drop me an
email

You may already know this, but you are able to hide the slides you want and
then save different versions of the same ppt. Simply use "save as" and save
your slide show under a slightly different name. For example,
MySlideShow_20min or MySlideShow_60min or MySlideShow_full. When you open
the 20-min slide show, the slides that you hid for that version will remain
hidden.
Good luck, Bev

I'm guessing though that he want's to be able to change the "master" and the
other shows will also change.

Shyam,

John is correct. I need to continually edit and add to the slide show -
even while maintaining the 3 different versions (without having to update the
3 different versions!) I will contact John for his add-in.

Thanks!

Richard

John,

So the slide numbers in the text file associated with the _30min.pptx and
the _60min.pptx would be updated (relatively automatically) each time I add a
few new slides to the master .pptx ? That would be way cool. Because
otherwise all the slide numbers would change and it would be nightmare to
maintain the 3 "slave" files everytime a add or take away slides from the
master.
