How to save movie in a specific format, with Windows Movie Maker ?

I made a movie with WMM, and chose "save for comptuer replay". The movie now
opens fine JUST with WMP. I tryed to put it on Facebook, the image was
running fine, but the audio was slowed down and un-intelligible, the timing f
the movie was doubled. I apparently can not just open this edited movie and
"save as" any kind of other file. Here are my multiple questions:

1. What is the extention of a movie saved as "for computer playback" (it
doesn't apprear on my windows !?!) ?
2. How can I convert such an edited/saved movie into a multi-purpose file ?
What would that extension be (.avi ? .mov ? .mp4 ?)
3. If I chose "download on the web" they don't let me chose where, besides
those 2 companies where I have to pay a fee, and then it doesn't even save
the movie on the computer, why ?
4. I didn't try "save to burn on a CD" because I actually want it on the
computer for further saving on CD or DVD. Plus, I don't see a save on DVD.
What extensiton do you need to save it on DVD ? what's the difference of
saving it on CD ?

I would greatly appreciate if you could answer me. Thanks.

1... it's WMV, and it doesn't appear by default... not until you turn on the
option to see file extensions... MyComputer > Tools > Folder Options > View
tab > uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types'

2... WMV is about as multi-purposed as you can get. You should have a reason
to make it anything else.

3... Choose save to your computer rather than to the web, if you don't want
to use neptune or mydeo

4... Saving to DVD is only an option on Media Center Editions of XP.... for
others, you need to take the saved movie on your hard drive and use it in
your disc making software.

A DVD and a CD are two different kinds of discs... and the files that go on
them to playback as video discs are different. A DVD disc can be used to
make a DVD... a CD disc can be used to make a VCD or SVCD. Either way, you
need to use other software to make playable video discs.
