how to save movie for PC *and Mac* playback?

Hi, I'm going to be mentoring 'visual story telling' at a school in Nepal for a new non-profit school partnership program, and want to use Microsoft solutions including Win Movie Maker as the movie-making tool. However some of the partner schools internationally use Macs only so we need to output for Mac and PC. Looks like Movie Maker only outputs WMV, WMA and AVI which aren't Mac compatible (I think). Any suggestions? Thank you.
 
The Saving Movies > Into page of my website has a section about distributing
video for playback on Macs.

You can go the route of converting the saved files to MOV for playback on
the QuickTime viewer, or have the Macs install a viewer for the WMV files.
