How to save custom shows in one presentation when importing into .

When importing one presentation into another presentation (and both
presentations have been set up with custom shows), the Custom Show Names are
lost on the slides that were imported. The links remain but the actual
"Show" is gone. How can you combine two or more presentations into one
presentation without losing the Custom Shows that have been set up?

I agree it would be nice to be able to import the slides and have them know
which custom show they belong to, but I don't believe you can. Maybe one of
the VBA gurus will find a way via an add-in, but I haven't figured out the
necessary logic yet. (The problem is having PPT know which custom shows you
want to import and what slides are in them. Combine that with the fact that
slides can be in more than one custom show and you start to get a logistical
nightmare.)

(FYI: It is the same problem that you run into when you try to link to a
custom show in another PPT file. PPT knows the starting slide of the custom
show, but doesn't know what slide comes next. So, when you move off the
first slide in the show, it just moves through the following slides in
presentation order, not custom show order.)
