I put a lot of effort to keep a very high quality in the wmv movie I imported
in MM2.
I usually use a bitrate of 5Mb/s at 720x480.
I was very disapointed to see that the max bitrate in the save menu is
2.1Mb/s!!!

How can I save with a higher bitrate?

Why can we save in AVI format on the DV camcorder but not on the HD???

You can save in DV-AVI format on the hard drive.
I think you are missing one crucial step in the process and that is clicking
the radio button next to "More choices..." in the save movie wizard.

I always use the AVI or the DV-avi file..its best for editing and rendering
in MPEG-2..on DVD-disks(DASH)..the WMV file I use is in the OTHER SETTINGS
List(Drop Down)and is just below DV-avi..called (NTFS)Large Frame<<---its
wmv./its an excellent movie file.

I tried to save as DV-AVI but I noticed a quality reduction compared to the
original DV-AVI movie coming from my camcorder.
The image is far less sharp!

I did'nt use any filter in MM2.
So why is the quality so bad between the inpur and output (both being at the
same bitrate)???
