Hi I have created a macro to run on an excel spread sheet and it works
correctly. Just wondering how to make it available for new files? When
create a new file I have to go to the old file I created the macro in and
then copy the macro, then go to the new file, open the vb editor, paste it in
and then run it. Seems like there is probably an easier way?
Thanks.

Paul,

You have somehow ended up in the wrong newsgroup, this one is about
MS-Access (the database product). Anyway, the answer to your question is
, save the macro in your Personal.xls instead, so it will be globally
available without you having to save it in each and every workbook you
need it in.

Hi Nikos, thanks for the response. Yep accidently posted in the incorrect
group, but am now using the solution that you described. I am trying to use
a hotkey with the macro so other users can run it easily, just wondering if
you know how to set that up?
if not no problem as I can post this question in the correct news group.

Hi I was able to get this working, shortcut key.
