How to return to inbox after moving or deleting an open item

I can't seem to see how to set Windows mail to return to the inbox after
moving or deleting an open email.

I had this set up before on my old PC, but all the instructions I can find
say something like Tools | Options | Email Settings, which doesn't seem to be
there in Vista.

Actually it's not there on my old XP machine either, but I had it set up to
return to the Inbox somehow.

Anyone know how to do this ?

Close the mail and then move or delete it.

Not really what I was after.

To be more specific, I use IMAP folders, and on my IMAP inbox if I have an
open message and click delete then:

1) I want the deleted item to move to my local Deleted Items folder - is
there a setting to do this ?

2) I want to return to the Inbox rather than it automatically opening the
next unread email (so I can keep track of what I have dealt with).

Thanks for any help,
Regards,
Mark
