How to retrieve search history

Hi,
Can someone tell me how to record and retrieve search entries - i saw
somewhere i cld do it thru Search companion but dont know how - am using IE6
on Win XP

check in "history" listing
shows the actual site url's
cookies file is pretty criptic

Tools | Internet Options | Content | Autoclomplete
Check the box for Forms.
