How to restrict Firefox searches permanently to USA/Canada only?

I am so sick of searching online for products and
getting a screen full of British sites to peruse.
Is there a way to permanently restrict searches to
only US/Canada?

Er which search engine? With google , you could do it either by editing the
plugin, or getting the correct plugin.

Assuming Google, like most users have. Would have been really
sporting nice of you to detail just how to alter such plugin;
or merely to specify where it would be located to try it blind.
