I worked under Windows XP home edition and locked in as 'ROOT' as
adminstrator and have accidentally deleted the "startup" folder in the
"Documents and Settings\ROOT\programe" folder. How can I rebuild the
"startup" folder? Simply creating a new folder with the name "startup" does
not work. I cannot find the folder in the recycle bin.

If I put an exe file in the "All's startup" folder, the programes will start
twice in Windows XP. Thanks for your help.

Don't know if this will work or not, but try logging in as someone other
than ROOT then going to the Start Menu for Root and creating a directory
called Startup.
