Hi:
I've been using Word 2000 with Vista.
Yesterday, when I tried to use Word 2000, a Logo of Word 2000 popping-up
right away, however at the very top of Word, .... Warning, ... 'Not
Responding.' Hence, I am NOT able to access Word 2000.

Strange enough, however other ID in the same PC has NO problem of opening
Word 2000. Only my ID can NOT access Word 2000. Prior to this happened, I
downloaded some program about which I can NOT recall a name for, ... along
with some of Optional Update by accessing Microsoft Update site.

I used 'System Restore' in my attempt to restore Word 2000, but it failed.
Now, I'm thinking of using 'RegiRestore' found in the Internet, ... not
Free,' but I may need some similar program in order to restore Word 2000?
Also, I accessed System 32, but it also made me confused which or what I
need to do.

Although Word 2000 is an old program, however it runs so well that I can NOT
yet abandon yet.

Any suggestions would be truly appreciated.

Hi,

Locate the normal.dot file under your user profile in the appdata directory
(it will likely be nested down several folder levels, I'm not sure where
Word2000 will put it) and delete it.
