How to resize (not move) a rectangle by 1 pixel with SHIFT+up arrow?

As far as I know I can mark in Powerpoint a rectangle box.
When I press now the SHIFT key and (with hold SHIFT krey) press
the uparrow key on the kreyboard then the whole, marked rectangle
is moved exactly 1 pixel upwards in the diagram.

I wonder wether there is a similar mechnism not for moving but for resizing
a rectangle box.

Say I want to make the box exactly 1 pixel less higher (=the lower
border should be one pixel line higher on the diagram).

Is there a way to achive this?

I don't want to resize it with the mouse because it is difficult
to adjust exactly one pixel.

Furthermore there is a snap-to-grid activated so that I cannot
resize in 1 pixel steps.

You can press ALT while resizing / moving to override the snap-to-grid.

But yes, it will be difficult to resize by one pixel. You can use the Size
dialog to resize by typing in numbers, but it displays in inches or
centimeters, not pixels.

If I had to do this, I'd probably put a guideline (not a gridline) in the
position I needed, zoom in really close, then resize the shape to hit the
guideline.
