I purchased a used PC with Windows 2000 for my daughter to use, however the
password that they gave me works for the 'user' when they logged on to the
network (which I'm ovbiously not connected to), so I can only log on as that
user - who does not have rights to install software, change desktop items,
etc.
They did not give me a win 2000 CD, so I can just re-install it, so is there
another way to do this? I can change the domain to the one that says
'xyz-this computer' but I don't know that log on name/password either.
I do have a win98SE CD, but I was thinking I was getting a good deal with
the win2000 machine.
Any suggestions how to 'take control' of this new PC?
Thanks,
JM
