Hi,

I just start working in this company, and I found a
windows 2000 workstation which noones know the admin
password, it is possible to reset this password? even
recreate the admin account without destroy the data in
the computer?

Thanks.

If the machine is in a Windows 2000 domain, Logon as a domain admin, then
go to start -> run -> lusrmgr.msc. Then you should be able to reset the
password.

Antonio,
Unfortuneatly, at this time once the administrator
password is forgotten, there is not much you can do.
However, if the machine is attached to a network server
running active directory you might be able to get into the
machine from the administrator account if one was created
in the domain should there be one. But usually, all is
lost.

hi antonio!
I am in a similar situation & wondered if you had tried
the fix that one guy sent giving you the url to an
instructional website & if you did try it, did it work?
Thanks a lot!
Stacy
