I ran TweakUI this morning, checked my installed version
(was 2.0-something) and thought I'd better look for any
updates before doing what I wanted to do. I found it had
been updated, and attempted to download and install the
latest version of TweakUI from MS website (version 2.10).
When I clicked the installer, it gave me the warning that I
had to uninstall the previous version first. I went to the
"powertoys" start-menu folder to see if "uninstall" was an
option there or if I would have to use the "install/remove
software" option from the control panel. I attempted to
run TweakUI again (remember it had just run a few moments
ago when I checked the version) and it brought up the
powerCalc instead! I checked the properties of the
powertoys->tweakui item, and indeed, it was now pointing to
the powercalc application. Seems like the installer
actually changed the start-menu shortcut when it aborted
the install. Is there an interface on the MS website to
ensure this bug-report would make it to the appropriate person?
