Site is built in FP 2003. There is a big root - 14500 files. I'd like to
reorganize this site.
1. How can I do this (easy way)
2. There is also 4500 images in the root. Can I put them to "IMAGE" folder?-
how if yes. And if I can put them to IMAGE folder, can I delete them from the
root?

Waldemar

As long as the site has the FP extensions and you open it directly in FP, just drag the image to the
images folder and FP will upload the hyperlinks (as long as the link to the file is a standard link
and not embedded in a script.

I put a few images to the image folder, then i've deleted these images from
the root. But on pages was no images( just squer with red cross). Can I
delete images from the root? The root is to big -(14500 files) in one root.
Site has FP extensions.

Waldemar

You must move the images with the web open to folder view in FrontPage.

When you move them FrontPage will automatically update the links, as long as they are not
scripted ( javascript ) links
you do not need to delete anything, just copy and paste them into the folder.

Do "Not" use Windows Explorer to move them.

The square with the red cross indicated the link to the image is incorrect or missing from the
location indicated in the image link.

Thank you for your help. Now it is working. First time I did not drag images
to IMAGES folder - images were copied to folder and deleted form the root. My
fault.

Can I drag pages to folder wthout losing links ?

Waldemar

Yes, you can drag pages into or out of folder as long as you are working in a open FP site from
within FP.
