How to reopen a .ppt file at the last slide being edited?

This is driving me nuts. I'm *sure* I've seen someplace where
somebody's got a utility that will allow a .ppt file to be reopened in
the editor at the slide that was being worked on when the file was
saved.

Did I dream this? If not, can someone point me to some more
information about such a utility?

I've not heard of such an add-in. That does not mean that one does not exist
though.

Anyone else?

Aha! I *knew* I wasn't dreaming! The OfficeOne Shortcuts Add-in has
just such a function. Works like a champ, and I now have a new "Last
Active" button permanently ensconced on a toolbar. It doesn't allow you
to reopen the file to that slide, but it allows you to move directly to
it once the file is open. [Another situation where an File AutoOpen
would come in handy...]

Thanks for thinking about it, though.

FWIW, I am pretty sure there was a version of PPT that used to do this.
Maybe 97? (Just tested 2000, and it seems to work like current versions. I
don't have 97 installed anymore, so I can't check it.)

I know that doesn't help you. I just thought I'd toss it into the mix
because I'm feeling nostalgic today. :-)
