How to remove windows 98

Hi all,

I have dual OS - Win2k and Win98. Would anyone tell me
how I can get rid of Win98?

There is not any type of automatic uninstall. Edit your boot.ini file and
remove the option to boot to Windows 98. Then delete your Win98 directory.

Since a dual boot of Win98 and W2K where both OSs are on the same partition
is a damaged installation, I'ld suggest modifying boot.ini and deleting the
partition Win98 was installed in as the proper procedure.

You can install dual W2K OSs in the same partition, they'll share the items
in "program files" gladly, but this is a certain death if dual boot includes
two incompatible OSs in the same partition.
 
i kinda have the same problem....except I have winME and
win2k pro dual booting.

I want to format everything and do a clean install of win2k
pro. how do i do this?

Boot from Windows 2000 CD, choose to do a new install. choose to format the
drive. If you have multiple partitions you can delete all your partitions
and create new ones also from the menu.
