how to remove U3 software from Sandisk USB drive?

I bought a 1GB SanDisk USB drive today, and when I plug it in it
launches the "U3 Launchpad". Gaaa! No problem I thought, I'll just
delete those files from the drive. Well it turns out this thing shows
up as not one but two drives under disk management: a 973mb FAT
partition and a 4mb cdfs partition. The launcher for the U3 thing is
on the cdfs partition, and since Windows thinks it's a CD drive, it
won't let me do anything with it (can't delete the partition, can't
format, can't delete files).

Am I stuck with this cheesy U3 launching every time I insert it? (If
the answer is yes, the drive is going back to the store.)

Thanks! That's precisely what I was looking for. For some reason,
that didn't turn up on my search. Hopefully this thread will help
others who bought this device.

Explorer shows it as a single 980MB partition. Before the removal tool
it had a 973MB partition and a 4MB partition.
