Hello,
I have W2K server with SP3. SP3 was applied without archiving, so removing SP3 from add/remove under control panel is out of the question in this scenerio. Does anyone had any experience on removing service packs from server, in the similar condition? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

If you did not make a backup before install, or at least archive the files
then there is no easy way.

You can do an in-place upgrade or repair install with the original (non-sp)
CD but I highly recommend a backup first.

Why not stay with the SP? Or at least upgrade to SP4, as that may resolve
some of your issues.

You can change this reg value from 300 to 200
then you will be able to install SP2 again.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows]
"CSDVersion"=dword:00000200

Of course, that could render your system as useless, and will make that
system unsupportable
